SRIT recently announced the successful completion of N’Vizion Project at JSW Steel Ltd. located in Vijayanagar, Karnataka. The project involved the implementation of N’Vizion’s Incident Tracking (IT) System at the JSW steel plant in order to minimize future risks, improve workplace safety and increase employee awareness and productivity. The team completed the entire conversion from SQL Server to Oracle within 10 days.

The IT System was launched amid commemoration on the Fire Service Day, as observed by the Safety and Fire Services department at Vijayanagar works, on 14th April 2008. This day is observed as a tribute to the several lives lost during the devastating fire at Mumbai Docks on 14th April, 1944.

Inaugurating the system, Mr. Sivasagar Rao, JMD & CEO, JSW Steel Limited appreciated the initiative taken by the Safety Department and complimented N’Vizion for the functionalities it offers. Mr. Rao said, “Being “first of its kind” initiative in Karnataka, JSW has again become a trend-setter for the industry.”

Mr. Yogeswara T, Head of Safety and AVP, JSW, gave a brief introduction of SRIT and N’Vizion to the attendees. Explaining the benefits of implementation and usage of N’Vizion, Sahil A Naqvi, Consultant, SRIT said, “The various modules of N’Vizion such as Real-time Information Flow, Task Assignment, Action Tracking, Intelligent Data Analysis and Information Dissemination will eventually help in pro-active reduction of any undesirable event at the workplace.”
