The knowledge of a particular server allocated to a particular Business Unit/Project/Desktops is extremely useful and also enables to redeploy under / un-utilized assets. Attributes such as power, heat and air-conditioning requirements of servers as well as provisioning them into the Data Center becomes more process driven and manageable.
