Bangalore to become Unwired
Close on the heels of Pune and Baramati (a small city in Maharashtra), India's infotech capital, Bangalore, too will provide seamless wireless connectivity as a part of its Rs 800 crore “Unwire Bangalore” project.
Conceptualized on a build, operate and own model, the Unwire Bangalore project aims at creating an infrastructure network that will provide wireless Internet connection to the entire city using world interoperability for microwave access (WiMax) and Wi-Fi technologies. The project is expected to cover 679 square kilometers of the city in a phased manner.
Of the five consortia, one represented by Railtel, ITI Ltd and Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) has already launched wireless Internet service in Nandi Colony and Whitefield (industrial area) in the city on a pilot basis. It is currently rolling out the service in commercial locations.
SRIT acquires SimpleRM from TriVium Systems
A suite of CRM solutions aimed to align with SRIT’s Digitized Health, Telecoms and Enterprise verticals.
Bangalore 25 Jul 2007: Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) today, announced acquisition of SimpleRMTM assets from the US – based TriVium Systems Inc., including its intellectual property rights, software engineers & CRM specialists, customers, and relationships. The key factor that fueled this decision is SRIT’s aim to align its focused verticals with an integrated, value-enhancing CRM system. The company’s businesses in HealthCare, Telecom and other Enterprise Automation use CRM as an integral part and hence, it is a logical step for SRIT to own the IPs, customers and staff members of TriVium's CRM Business Unit. The strategic alliance between SRIT and TriVium is not of recent origin. SRIT has been one of the many delighted customers and users of SimpleRMTM from the year 2003, during which it has been a source code licensee of the product.
SRIT introduces LMaiTM – Algorithm to Embed Artificial Intelligence into Search Engines

SRIT Unveils Dyna-RateTM – Software for Real-Time, On-Demand Internet Bandwidth allocation
Bangalore 22 May 2007: Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) today announced Dyna-RateTM, a revolutionary software engine for internet service provisioning. Dyna-RateTM is a telecom operator’s software system component which will allow for subscribers to decide their internet bandwidth on a real time and dynamic basis. It does this by provisioning (i.e. provide the requested bandwidth on availability) and rating (i.e. calculate the usage for billing purpose, in post-paid scenarios) or balancing (i.e. balance provisioning of bandwidth with the charge available in pre-paid scenarios) subscriber requests through operators service portals on an immediate reactive basis. The key differentiator is the real time provisioning and rating of bandwidth which till today is not possible.
SRIT unveils ‘DATA Exclusive IN’ - Software to enable subscriber download content from any operator
Bangalore 01 June 2007: Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) today announced “Data Exclusive Intelligent Network (IN)”- an operator end software which would enable its subscribers to download content from other operators too. This is enabled through a unique pre-paid Voucher Management System which helps generate and manage vouchers between the two transacting operator systems. The additional content download generated from a competitor’s subscriber base is expected to enhance operator revenues from value added services substantially.

SRIT to acquire the OSI NETeXPERT Business from Agilent Technologies
Bangalore 11 April 2007: Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) today announced a definitive agreement to acquire Objective Systems Integrators, Inc.(OSI) - a global supplier of Telecom Operations Support Systems (OSS) - from Agilent Technologies, a Fortune 500 American corporation. The key factor influencing the decision is the strategic fit with its Telecom BSS business. This is SRIT’s second acquisition in the Telecom space in a span of the last one year. It acquired Billing Components AG, a 12 year old German Telecom Business Support Systems (BSS) company some eleven months ago.
SRIT to launch ‘ACTchange’ - a framework enabling health care collaboration
Sobha Renaissance Information Technology (SRIT) will be announcing, for the first time, at Med-e-tel 2007, Luxembourg 18-20 April 2007, its rapidly progressing Integrated Health Care Exchange (iHCx) framework. SRIT acquires German Telecoms software company. A multi-million Euro acquisition with additional investment outlay...
SRIT has acquired Munich-based Billing Components AG, strengthening its offering in the Telecoms Operational and Business domain. Billing Components AG are the creators of software components for the telecoms market in the areas of customer care, billing & collections, rating, usage collection, provisioning and inter-carrier reconciliation and settlements. The exact value of the acquisition is, however, not revealed. This multi-million euro acquisition will expand SRIT's offerings in providing several business software solutions to all kinds of Telecommunication and Communication Service Providers, be it Telematics, GSM, CDMA, Fixed Wireline, IP, VoIP, WiMAX, 3G, GPRS or UMTS service providers. SRIT CEO Madhu Nambiar said this acquisition brings in marquee customers like T-Mobile, Eronet, Vodafone-Si.mobil, Cosmoron, Thales in France, United Kingdom, Austria, Russia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Australia, Bahrain and Bosnia.

Group Technology Consultant Asoke Talukder’s book Mobile Computing has been published internationally by reputed publishers McGraw-Hill, USA. The book is featured on Amazon.com (priced at US $ 99). About the Author
Asoke Talukder, Group Technology Consultant with SRIT, has been in the field of IT and Telecom since 1976. He has worked extensively in emerging technologies, product development, R&D, and large projects for companies in India, USA, UK, and Singapore. SRIT introduced LMaiTM (Latent Metonymical Analysis and Indexing) – a path breaking algorithm in the realm of Artificial Intelligence – at a High Power Media Roundtable with a few chosen technology journalist from the city. A live demo on LMaiTM was also given.
LMaiTM’s first application is on search engines and iCognueTM, a search engine superimposed with LMaiTM, was showcased as a POC. ICognueTM is not available on the internet as of now.
